Valley Landfill offers weekly collection of Commercial Dumpster Trash. Please call them at 701.520.0380 for more information.
Residential Garbage & Recycling
Waste Management offers weekly garbage pickup and bi-weekly recycling pickup. Garbage is collected every Wednesday and Recycling is collected every other Thursday. There is a poster you can print of what you can and cannot put in the recycling bin on the Resident Section of this website. If you have questions/concerns, please call Waste Management at 701.772.3344; if you don't feel your concerns were handled by the local phone number, our representative is Randy Ott and his direct phone number is 218.256.9334.

The City of Pembina provides the option for citizens to bring their flattened corrugated products to the recycling container at City Shop at 163 W Jerome St. This is for FLATTENED CORRUGATED BOXES AND SIMILAR CARDBOARD ITEMS ONLY.

For the convenience of Pembina's Citizens, the City of Pembina provides an inert landfill in South Pembina for yard waste, leaves, grass clippings, tree branches, weeds, and garden trimmings. No trash, concrete, pallets, lumber, building materials, oil, or anything else that is not natural in nature. Follow posted signs, stay on the path, and plan for weather. Failure to comply with the rules of this inert landfill may result in fines and/or the closure of the inert landfill.
Excess Trash
If you need to throw an abundance of things away, Pembina has a dumpster we can place in your driveway for $75/month--this is not prorated (this is temporary, and is first come first serve)--you will need to make arrangements with Valley Landfill at 701.520.0380 for pickup and to have the dumpster returned to the City Shop. We try to offer a Citywide Cleanup (dependent on trash service availability) once a year. Another option is to use the Hallock landfill. You can give them a call at 701.754.4581.
