Minutes of Sept. 24, 2003 Special Council Meeting
Attendance: Council: Richard Senum, Beverly Burke, Pat Burton, Larry Pelletier, John Feldman, Mayor Warren Hillukka. Absent: Jeff Carpenter
Present: K. Johnson, Aud./Adm.
Meeting called to order 6:15 P.M.
1. Motion by Feldman, second by Senum, to approve WSN’s proposal to survey the dikes. Motion carried.
2. Motion by Senum, second by Feldman, to approve a loan in the amount of $35,000 toward the motel project payable upon the completion and opening of a 25 meter four-lane indoor pool, payment and interest free for 5 years, and a rate of 3% interest following that with the balance to be paid in 10 years; contingent upon city attorney’s review. Motion carried, 100% voting aye. Motion by Feldman, second by Senum, to approve payment in lieu of taxes in the amounts as follow: $4,000 for years 1-5, $6,000 for years 6-10, and $8,000 for years 11-15. Motion carried, 100% voting aye.
3. Motion by Senum, second by Feldman, to amend the Sept. 8th minutes to show approval of a bonus of $725 for time spent spraying for mosquitoes. Motion carried.
4. Budget reviewed for finalization. Motion by Feldman, second by Senum, to accept the budget as corrected. Motion carried.
5. Motion to adjourn by Burke at 10:20 p.m.
