Attendance: Roll call: Council: President Ron Fritz, Vice President Connor Snitker, Al Huttunen and Mike Fitzgerald. Council persons elect: Pat Burton, Greg Koropatnicki and Jeff Watts

Absent: Mayor Kyle Dorion, Cody Carpenter, Melissa Hilliard

Reorganization Meeting called to order @ 5:00 p.m. by President Fritz.

 

 Motion by Snitker second by Huttunen to accept the abstract of votes. Ayes all present. Motion carries.

 

• Oaths of office have all been signed and filed. New council takes their seats.

 

Nominations are now open for the President of the council.

 

• Motion by Koropatnicki second by Burton to appoint Fitzgerald as President. Ayes all present. Motion carries.

 

• Motion by Watts second by Koropatnicki to appoint Fritz as Vice President. Ayes all present. Motion carries.

 

• President Fitzgerald appoints Lisa Hall as Auditor/Administrator, Fleming DuBois & Fleming LLP City Attorneys & Widseth, Smith & Nolting City Engineers and Zelda Hartje as city assessor. Motion by Fritz second by Koropatnicki to accept the appointments. Ayes all present. Motion carries.

 

• Motion by Watts second by Fritz to appoint Koropatnicki to the Streets, Water & Sewer committee. Ayes all present. Motion carries.

 

• Motion by Watts second by Koropatnicki to appoint Huttunen to Building & Zoning committee. Ayes all present. Motion carries.

 

• Motion by Koropatnicki second by Huttunen to appoint Watts to the Building & Zoning committee. Ayes all present. Motion carries.

 

• Motion by Koropatnicki second by Huttunen to appoint Burton to Growth committee. Ayes all present. Motion carries.

 

• Motion by Huttunen second by Burton to appoint Koropatnicki to Community Center & City Office. Ayes all present. Motion carries.

 

• Motion by Koropatnicki second by Burton to appoint Fritz to Valley Landfill committee. Ayes all present. Motion carries.

 

• Motion by Fritz second by Huttunen to appoint Burton to Recreation Board committee. Ayes all present. Motion carries.

 

• Motion by Huttunen second by Burton to appoint Snitkers to the Recreation Board committee as an at large member. Ayes all present. Motion carries.

 

• Motion by Burton second by Koropatnicki to appoint Watts to the Airport Authority. Ayes all present. Motion carries.

 

• Motion by Huttunen second by Burton to appoint Koropatnicki to the Airport Authority. Ayes all present. Motion carries.

 

Attorney Fleming advised council that since this is a special meeting the Mayor’s resignation cannot be accepted until next meeting. President Fitzgerald will be acting Mayor until a replacement is found and elected.   Once vacancy has been declared, the council can declare an election or choose from the six currently on council and vote them into Mayor’s seat. Anyone can petition for a special election and if someone does submit one then the election must be held.

 

• Motion to adjourn by Fritz at 5:15 p.m.
