Special Council Meeting 7:00 p.m.
Attendance: Council: Beverly Burke, Richard Senum, John Feldman, Warren Hillukka, Jeff Carpenter, Larry Pelletier Absent: none

Special Meeting called to order 7:00 P.M. by W. Hillukka
1. Upon Recommendation by the Planning and Zoning Committee, Motion by Burke, second by Pelletier, to approve the variance sought by Studney’s reducing the side-yard requirement for their new garage. Motion carried.
2. Motion by Feldman, second by Senum, to approve the second reading of the Polar Franchise ordinance. Motion carried 100% voting aye. Ordinance granting franchise rights to Polar Communications is hereby adopted.
3. Motion by Feldman, second by Burke, to approve the second reading of the ordinance dissolving the municipal judge. Motion carried, 100% voting aye. Ordinance dissolving the position of municipal judge is hereby adopted.
4. Discussion of dead tree removal bids. Clarification - neither bid includes stump grinding. Motion by Senum, second by Carpenter, to accept Clearview Contracting’s bid, excluding the evergreens. Motion carried.
5. Council received written notice of Mayor Burton’s resignation as of Sept. 13.
6. Motion to adjourn by Burke at 7:20.
