Official Special Meeting Minutes for April 1, 2024, Daycare Repairs, Contractors, Daycare Committee
Date: April 1st, 2024, at 6:00pm

Present: Ken Norby, Pat Burton, Jeff Watts, Connor Snitker, Al Huttunen, Mayor Mike Fitzgerald
Absent: None
Guests: Sherri Carattini, Teri Stoiber, Greg Koropatnicki, Tanya Rivera
Special Meeting called to order at 6:01 pm
Agenda:
- Daycare Washing Machine – Current washing machine not able to handle the weekly load of blankets and plushies. Greg got quote of r&r Speedqueen commercial washer from Cavalier Gas $1129. Mike suggested Growth Committee should pay for it. Connor made motion to get $1129 from Growth Committee, seconded by Al. Roll call vote - all ayes present. Motion carries.
- Daycare Electrical & Plumbing Repairs – for electrical and plumbing repairs, Connor made motion that the city electrical contractor, Stateside, and city plumbing contractor, Halcrows, be used for those repairs at the daycare, seconded by Al. Roll call vote – all ayes present. Motion carries.
- Daycare Wall and Sandbox Repairs – Al will do the sandbox repairs. There are some holes in walls on interior keeping Tanya from being able to get licensed. Ken said he would do the repairs. Connor made motion to pay Ken for materials and up to 3 hours of labor for doing the repairs, seconded by Pat. Roll call vote – all ayes present. Motion carries.
- Daycare Committee – Council will be running the Daycare Committee until elections are held.
- Daycare Disposal of Old/Damaged Items– 75-80% of the old toys, books, etc., are being kept by Tanya. Anything old/damaged will be sold, dumped, or given to Cavalier Thrift. Connor made motion that proceeds from any sales will go back into buying items for the Daycare, seconded by Al. Roll call vote – all ayes present. Motion carries.
