Special Council Meeting
7:00 p.m.
Attendance: Mayor Pat Burton Council: Richard Senum, John Feldman, Warren Hillukka. Absent: Beverly Burke, Jeff Carpenter
Others Present: Aud/Admin. Kathy Johnson, Larry Pelletier
Special Meeting called to order 7:00 P.M. by Mayor Burton
1. Motion by Hillukka, second by Senum, to approve Larry Pelletier and Jeff Carpenter as appointees to the City Council until the 2004 election. Motion carried. Oath of Office pledged by Pelletier; signature obtained for certification.
2. Proposal details: Discussion of the meeting with Governor’s officials re: MCI incentive package which had been attended by Hillukka and Johnson, and of long-term goals. A motion was made by Hillukka, seconded by Feldman, to commit up a percentage of Sales Tax (to be determined later) in grant monies between MCI and the new motel, providing the MCI portion could be a loan with payback over a period of 8 years. Motion carried, 100% voting aye.
