                                        Official Minutes March11th, 2013 City Council Meeting

 

Attendance Council meeting: Council, John Feldman, Bev Burke, Dan Waldrop, Debbie Stanhope, Greg Wilmer and Greg Truax.

Present: Aud. /Adm. Nancy Thompson and Public works Ken Norby Attorney Rob Fleming and City Engineer Dan Johnson

Absent: Mayor Warren Hillukka

Public Portion:

Regular Meeting: Was called to order by Council President Feldman at 6:00 p.m.

2. Motion by Stanhope second by Truax to approve Febuary11th minutes with changes. Ayes Stanhope, Waldrop, Burke, Wilmer and Truax Nays: None. Motion carried.

3. Old Business: a) Feldman discussed the conference call with the CORP.

4. City Engineer: a) Update on water/ sewer project .b) new water /sewer maps were looked at. Just a few change need to be made for them to be complete.

5. Attorney: a) Notice to appear at next month’s meeting will be sent to Ernie Ruet D’Auteuil. This allows him a chance to talk with the Council about his homes before the demolition order is done .Once the order of demolition is sent he has 30 days to take care of his items on the properties. After that the City can have the homes demolished.

6. Employee Report: a) Team Lab 2013 spraying prices. Motion by Wilmer second by Waldrop to have Team Lab spray again this year: pond, broadleaf & golf course fairway. Ayes Stanhope, Waldrop, Burke, Wilmer and Truax Nays: none. Motion carried.   b) Flood outlook discussed. c) Motion by Wilmer second by Stanhope to hire Twamley & Sons to assist public works with the cleaning of snow from city ditches.Ayes Stanhope, Waldrop, Burke, Wilmer and Truax Nays: none. Motion carried. 

 7. Mayor Update:

  1. Aud. /Admin. Update:  a) February financials reviewed and approved b) March bills reviewed and approved.  b) This year’s Tax Assessment meeting is set for Monday April 8th at 5pm.
  2. Committee Reports: The sign by the grinder station in South Pembina has been wrecked.

Game and Fish will be contacted to let them know about the sign.

 

10. New Business:

Motion by Burke to adjourn at 7:00 p.m.
