Minutes of June 24, 2014

City Council Reorganization Meeting

 

Attendance:  Mayor Kyle Dorion; Council:  Greg Truax, Allan Huttunen, Ron Fritz, Corie Koropatnicki and Greg Wilmer.

Absent: Dan Waldrop

Present: Aud. /Adm. Nancy Thompson

Others Present: Joan Studeny,Holly Phillips, John and Nancy Feldman.

 

Reorganization Meeting called to order @ 5:00 p.m. by Mayor Dorion.

 

 Since there was a tie vote for the third council seat between Ron Fritz and Joan Studeny a hat draw had to be done to see who would fill that seat. Auditor Thompson put the names in and had Holly Phillips draw one out .Ron Fritz name was drawn he will fill the third seat.

 

• Oath of office administered to elected Council & Mayor
• Appointments made by the Mayor Nancy Thompson, Aud. /Adm.; Fleming DuBois & Fleming LLP City Attorneys & Widseth, Smith & Nolting City Engineers.  Committee appointments also made. Motion by Wilmer second by Huttunen to accept appointments. Ayes by all present.  Motion carries.

• Motion by Truax second by Koropatnicki to elect Wilmer as council President. Ayes by all present.  Motion carries. 
• Motion by Koropatnicki second by Wilmer to elect Truax as council Vice-President. Ayes by all present.  Motion carries.
• Motion by Truax second by Wilmer to hire Gary Helland on a partime basis until the full time PWS position has been filled and pay him an hourly rate of $16.33. Ayes by all present. Motion carries

 

• Motion to adjourn by Fritz at 5:30 p.m.
