Special City Council Meeting

Present: Beverly Burke, Debbie Stanhope, John Feldman, Rick Senum, and Mayor Warren Hillukka.
Absent: Nancy Thompson, Kyle Dorion
Others Present: Aud./Admin. Kathy Johnson
Call to order at 7 p.m.
1. Preliminary budgets for the general funds of Advertising, emergency, flood/dike, insurance, social security, and special assessments were approved with changes. Component funds of library and Recreation Board approved with adjustments, as were the sales tax fund, sales tax depreciation, ramp lighting, growth, and trailer park funds.
2. Some items resulting from discussion include: a. Ask Dean Warner about cleaning up the rail road bed,
b. setting aside funds from the Recreation Board for long-term RV parking & dump site, c. putting building permits on the Council agenda for October, d. researching the cost for the projector & sharing it with the Growth fund, e. adding funds for demolition as the sewer needs capping at 5th St. house, and f. sending out letters regarding pallets for garages.
3. Next budget meeting will be Monday, Sept. 25. More breakdown of expenses will be required to tackle water/sewer deficiencies.
