Official Special Meeting Minutes March 8th, 2011th City Council Meeting
Attendance: Mayor Warren Hillukka, Council Beverly Burke, Greg Wilmer, Pat Burton & Debbie Stanhope
Absent John Feldman & Kyle Dorion
Present: Aud. /Adm. Nancy Thompson
Others Present: Nate Dalager HDR engineering, Mike Hall ND Water Commission
Special Meeting was called to order by Mayor Warren Hillukka 5:30p.m
Nate with HDR gave update to Council on Levee recertification project and that the civil, geotechnical design documents are ready to be sent to the USACE for their review and approval.
Mike Hall with the ND Water Commission let Council know that the Water Commission is here to help the City on the Levee project with cost share reimbursement .Reimbursement amount is decided by the Water Commission board.
Motion by Burke Second by Stanhope for HDR engineering to submit levee recertification project plans to the Corp along with the following attached letter .Motion carries
1: Motion by Burton Second by Wilmer to accept second reading of flood plain ordinance call Vote ayes: Burton, Burke, Wilmer and Stanhope, Nays: none absent and not voting Dorion and Feldman. Motion carries.
2: Personnel Committee: Met Thursday March 3rd and went over applications for the Public works position that City had advertised for .Discussion was had on hiring of public works employee and hourly pay versus salary pay for employees .Topic is tabled until regular monthly meeting which is March 14th at 6:00 p.m.
Motion by Burke to adjourn at 7:15p.m
