Minutes of July 9, 2007 Special City Council Meeting

Attendance:  Mayor Warren Hillukka Council:  Beverly Burke, Kyle Dorion, John Feldman, Nancy Thompson, Debbie Stanhope Absent:  Richard Senum

Present: Aud./Adm. Kathy Johnson

Others Present: County Commissioners Hugh Ralston, Andy Adamson, and Hetty Walker, Sheriff Brian Erovick

This meeting was called to discuss concerns about police coverage within the City of Pembina.  There was no complaint about the current deputy, but no logs have been received showing the county’s commitment being kept.  It was agreed that logs will be copied and sent to Pembina City Police Committee Chair John Feldman monthly. 

            Other discussion questioned activity in response to drugs, tobacco and liquor sales to minors, and bar checks.  City officials were encouraged to contact the county enforcement officers:  Scott Kraft of Drayton regarding drug activity or Tina Lorenzen for tobacco.
