Call to order at 7:00 p.m.
1. The assessment roles were reviewed. Changes include the ICE Building, which sold for $1million dollars, and one exemption for Valley Crete came off.
Motion by Burke, second by Burton, to accept the 2006 assessment roll as presented. Motion carried unanimously.
2. Review of possible job combination: city employee position with Valley Landfill’s opening. This would assist with our budget concerns. Council suggested agreement if the following conditions are met:
· The employee remains an employee of the City of Pembina, understanding that city responsibilities will always come first. Valley Landfill will compensate the city at a reasonable rate which will cover all the city’s costs for the employee for those hours.
· The position will be for 20 hours only, and only within city limits. Valley Landfill must find their own replacement for vacations, emergencies, snow removal, sick leaves, etc.
· The agreement would be on a trial basis, with 30 day notice to revoke the agreement.
3. Burke motioned to adjourn at 8:25.
