Official Minutes April 12th 2010 City Council Meeting
Attendance: Mayor Warren Hillukka, Council, Beverly Burke, Debbie Stanhope, Pat Burton, John Feldman, & Greg Wilmer
Absent: Kyle Dorion
Present: Attorney Neil Fleming, Aud. /Adm. Nancy Thompson, Dan Johnson City Engineer, PWS Ken Norby
Public Portion: Kathy Johnson Pembina new era
Changes made to agenda: Motion by Stanhope, second by Burton to accept changes to agenda. Motion carried. Motion by Feldman second by Burke to approve March minutes. Motion carried.
1. City Engineer /Dan Johnson: a) discussed water & forced main projects -.
2. City Attorney Update: a) Motion by Burton second by Wilmer to accept the Second reading repealing City Ordinance section 9-05-36 of chapter 9 and re-enact section 9-05-36 chapter 9 Hours and Time of Sale of Alcoholic Beverages. Motion carried. b) Update on dike lawsuit.
3. Employee Report: a) Man hole on Stutsman & 3rd need to be raised up b) discussed yard waste c) spring clean up set for May 12th valley landfill sends out bill for the charges to each resident.
4. Mayor Update: a) Motion by Feldman second by Wilmer to sell City owned property to Nathan Symington south 20 ft of lot 12 block 63, 10ft of vacated alley at $1.00 per sq ft with quit claim deed. Roll call vote .aye –Feldman, Burton, Burke, Stanhope Wilmer nays-none. Absent and not voting Dorion .Motion carried.
5. Aud. /Admin. Update: a) March financials reviewed and approved. b). April bills reviewed and approved.
6. Committee Reports: a) Library board had a meeting and they would to see more kids for the reading time Monica is donating her time for the summer reading program so more supplies can be purchased for the summer reading program. b) Need to contact rec board and see when they want the water turned on in S.PE and when the shower is going to be fixed.
7. New Issues: a) none at this time
Motion by Burke to adjourn at 6:50p.m.
