Official Minutes September 13th 2010 City Council Meeting

 

Attendance: Mayor Warren Hillukka, Council Beverly Burke, Kyle Dorion, John Feldman, Debbie Stanhope & Greg Wilmer

Absent:  Pat Burton

Present: Attorney Neil Fleming, Aud. /Adm. Nancy Thompson, Dan Johnson City Engineer, PWS Ken Norby

Others Present: Brian Williams-Pembina Ambulance

Public Portion: None present

Regular Meeting was called to order by Mayor Hillukka at 6:00p.m

2. Changes made to agenda:  Motion by Feldman second by Stanhope to approve August 9th & 30th meeting minutes. Motion carries.

3. City Engineer /Dan Johnson: a) still working on the specs for the water and forcemain projects. Looking like things should be ready for bids in November and new form of doing bids is electronically submitted.  A lot of contractors have gone this route for bidding projects.

4. Attorney: a) Motion by Feldman second by Dorion to approve the Second reading of the following two Ordinance’s “Land Development” and Ordinance of “Unauthorized Discharge into Sanitary Sewer System” roll call vote ayes, Dorion, Stanhope, Burke, Feldman ,Wilmer Nays: none.  Absent and not voting, Burton

5. Employee Report: a) Ken will patch the bump in road at the east end of the South Pembina Bridge.

6. Mayor Update:  a)

7.  Aud. /Admin. Update:  a) August financials reviewed and approved.  b) September bills reviewed and approved. c) Motion by Burke second by Wilmer to give Pembina Ambulance $2,500.00.  Motion carries d) Motion by Feldman second by Burke to accept the Final budget for 2011. Roll call vote ayes, Dorion, Stanhope, Burke, Feldman, and Wilmer Nays: none absent and not voting, Burton. Motion carries.

8.   Committee Reports:  no reports at this time

9. Issues-New & Outstanding the mowing should start to slow down so this will give time to do some curb painting and crack sealing in town .The long weeds will be knocked down then sprayed .  

 

Motion by Burke to adjourn at 6:55p.m.
